Dissecting Marriott Hotels One Business Trip At A Time

What I Like

There are three things that please me immensely when I’m staying at a hotel on business. First, a quick check in process. Second, a room whose climate has been controlled properly prior to my arrival. Third, a room that is spotless clean and smells nice. I just hate musty or stale smelling hotel rooms. It makes me feel like I’ve checked into a morgue instead of a hotel.

License To Drive

I think that was the title of a really bad movie with Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. It’s also something that the courtesy van driver at the Marriott Courtyard Medical Center in San Antonio was lacking recently. Shel Holtz reports on his Road Weary blog that this caused him an unnecessary delay enroute to his destination.

Pillar Anyone?

Shel Holtz reports that the Washington D.C. JW Marriott Hotel has a conference room with a rather large pillar in the center. Sounds great if you’re looking to hide from your audience.
